welcomes new chief
LENOIR CITY, Tenn. (WATE) — Jonathan Bryant is the new Chief of Police for the Lenoir City Police Department.
Public Safety Director and
Former Chief of Police Don White and the LCPD welcomed Bryant
who was sworn in Tuesday morning. He was surrounded by family,
friends, Lenoir City officials, employees and officers.
White announced his retirement as Chief of Police
on May 12, introducing Bryant as his replacement, said Van
Shaver, Fifth District Loudon County Commissioner. City Council
voted unanimously to hire Bryant. He previously worked for the
Chattanooga Police Department.
Bryant is reportedly a long-time acquaintance of
Lenoir City Mayor Tony Aikens, Shaver said.
“Welcome Chief Bryant!” LCPD wrote.
