Greenback School coach charged with sexual battery, LCSO says

GREENBACK, Tenn. (WATE) — A teacher and coach at Greenback School faces charges of sexual battery, according to an incident report from the Loudon County Sheriff’s Office.

Malcom Gray Williams, Jr. has been accused of sexual battery of a custodian at the school. On Monday, April 28, LCSO was informed of the allegations.

The custodian said that Williams asked her to clean the field house. While at the field house, Williams began to “touch her inappropriately,” according to the incident report. The custodian told him to stop as it made her feel uncomfortable, she said. She then reported the incident to her supervisor who reported it to law enforcement.

The custodian said that Williams had been drinking.

Williams was placed on suspension pending the investigation, a Loudon County Schools spokesperson said. After that, Williams provided notice of intent to retire, effective immediately, according to LCS.

Williams was arrested on May 7.
